Talks & Workshops for Schools, Universities & Healthcare Professionals

From eating disorders and body image to self-esteem and mental health, Carolina delivers engaging, age-appropriate talks and workshops tailored to the needs of each audience and setting.

Drawing on her own powerful experience of mental illness and eating disorders, Carolina shares her journey from struggle and survival to lasting freedom, offering a message of hope and showing that recovery really is possible. For younger audiences, sessions incorporate interactive exercises and activities to encourage participation, spark discussion and make learning both meaningful and engaging. For older students, Carolina also shares insights into navigating university life whilst living with mental illness, helping them understand the challenges that can arise and the importance of seeking support. Students will leave feeling better informed, empowered and more confident to talk openly about their mental health. They will gain practical tools to support their self esteem and develop healthy habits, alongside a greater understanding of eating disorders, how to recognise some of the early signs and how to offer meaningful support to others who may be struggling.

For medical students and future healthcare professionals, sessions provide a deeper understanding of eating disorders, including their varied presentations and the complexities of the illness. Students gain valuable insight into approaching sensitive conversations with compassion and confidence, whether supporting a patient with a known eating disorder or recognising when someone may be struggling.

Suitable for school Year 5 upwards

Session duration: 60-90 mins

Carolina also delivers talks and sessions for parents, carers and teachers, helping them better understand mental health and eating disorders and how best to support the young people in their care. Please do get in touch to discuss these options.

For Corporates

Drawing on her own experience of living with eating disorders and depression whilst working in the corporate world, Carolina shares her personal journey from struggle to freedom, offering an honest and powerful perspective on mental health in the workplace.

Sessions can be tailored to the needs of your organisation, with topics selected according to what is most relevant to your workforce. Staff will leave with:

  • greater confidence to talk more openly about mental health and the challenges they or their colleagues may be experiencing

  • a deeper understanding of eating disorders and mental illness, including how these can affect someone’s daily life and functioning at work

  • greater awareness of some of the signs that someone may be struggling, together with practical insight into how to approach conversations and offer meaningful support

For employers, these sessions offer an opportunity to foster a more open and supportive workplace culture, equip staff to respond with greater understanding and compassion, and help challenge the stigma that continues to surround mental illness.

Above all, Carolina’s message is one of hope: struggling with an eating disorder or mental health difficulty does not have to define someone’s future, and recovery and freedom are possible.

Session duration: 60-90 mins
